The Protestant Council of Rwanda (CPR) is a religious based organization that was founded in 1963. It is now composed with 20 member denominations and 5 Christian organizations.
On December 8th and 9th, 2015, CPR successively held two important board meetings: The Executive Council and the General Assembly, which took place at one of the church members headquarter, the Free Methodist Church of Rwanda (EMLR). They were successful meetings, which appreciated positive achievements during year 2014 and 2015. They also discussed and addressed challenged as well as planning ahead for the coming two years.
Among the visible outcomes were to welcome the Anglican Diocese of Gasabo as a new member of CPR, and to confirm the Pentecostal Church of Rwanda as a full member of CPR.
Members also committed themselves to put more efforts in evangelism that strengthen the unity in diversity of CPR to build the kingdom of God, in education with a focus on nursery schooling, in health, and disabled persons. Furthermore they decided to reinforce initiatives that will lead CPR to self sustainability.
